National Insulation Association (NIA)

The National Insulation Association (NIA), a northern Virginia-based trade association representing the mechanical and specialty insulation industry, was founded in 1953. It has approximately 350 member companies consisting of contractors, manufacturers, distributors, laminators and fabricators.The industry is endorsing an NIA-accredited training program for a standardized approach to insulation energy appraisals, to convey that insulation is a powerful and inexpensive way to save tremendous amounts of energy and to promote the value of insulation performance in dollars, environmental savings and energy reduction.
