City ot Atlanta
Through it’s sustainability initiative, Power to Change, the City of Atlanta has been actively pursuing improvements in our own energy productivity by focusing on reducing energy use intensity in municipal buildings. Our work has benchmarked the consumption of over 100 municipal buildings and the City of Atlanta has seen a 19% improvement in the past three years across this portfolio. The Mayor’s Office of Sustainability is leading the implementation of the Atlanta Commercial Building Energy Efficiency ordinance, which seeks to dramatically improve the energy productivity of the entire commercial sector in the City of Atlanta by providing a series of incentives and mandates for energy and water benchmarking.
