Large Public Power Council (LPPC)

The Large Public Power Council (LPPC) is an organization comprised of 23 of the nation’s largest locally owned and controlled power systems. LPPC works to develop and advance consumer-oriented positions on national energy issues. From New York to California and from Washington state to Florida, LPPC members provide reliable, low-cost electric service to most of the more than 40 million people served by public power.LPPC looks to serve its customers well by working hard to educate legislative decision makers throughout the country, keeping costs down and service at the highest possible level. Through direct participation of the chief executives of its member organizations, LPPC also works closely with citizens and local officials to develop consumer-oriented positions on national energy issues–and advances those positions with state and national lawmakers and regulators.
