PG&E Corporation is an energy-based holding company headquartered in San Francisco. It is the parent company of Pacific Gas and Electric Company. Pacific Gas and Electric Company provides natural gas and electric service to approximately 15 million people throughout a 70,000-square-mile service area in northern and central California. PG&E is a recognized leader in energy efficiency and demand reduction, and has helped California achieve substantial energy savings – approximately 118 million megawatt hours of electric savings have been achieved since the mid-1970s.
