Washington Gas
Washington Gas is a regulated distribution company that provides safe and reliable delivery of natural gas to more than one million residential, commercial and industrial customers in Washington, D.C., and the surrounding region in Virginia and Maryland. The company was chartered by Congress in 1848. Washington Gas is a wholly owned subsidiary of WGL Holdings, Inc., whose unregulated affiliates provide energy-related services, selling natural gas and electricity in competitive markets, and providing heating, ventilating and air-conditioning systems to customers, including government organizations. Washington Gas is an active member of the business community and supports locally-based community programs advancing health, education and the environment.
